Every year my family and I travel to Cuba. This year, my brother was able to take his girlfriend, so I was able to bring my best friend, who is pretty much my sister. This year, I met so many new people from other countries. In the future I would love to take my family to a tropical place once or a few times. You just get to take that two weeks off and relax on the beach, enjoy the beautiful weather, and not worry about anything at home. The picture below is the sunset on my last night there. It's amazing to actually see the sun go down along the ocean.

Nail Addict
I'm crazy for nails! I always need to have crazy nails or nail polish on my nails at all times. I've been practicing on doing my nails by myself, instead of going to a salon and getting them done. These are some of the nails I've had this year. The bottom right is the only one that I got done at a nail salon, all the rest are ones done by myself. Lately I've been researching into athome gels, that way I can just go out and buy the stuff I need, and do them at home for nothing, instead of going to a salon and paying $50+..
First Jets Game
On February 15th, I went to my first jets home game. I've been to an away game, but never to a home game, and one of my friends happened to have season tickets so he took me to my favourite team, Pittsburgh and Jets. Of course my team won.. Pittsburgh all the way! I'm looking forward to going to more Jets games the season coming up.

Authors Note
I am sad to say that this is my last project in this class, but I am also very excited to do this project as well. The reasons why I’m excited to do this project is because I’ve seen every episode of the buried life and it has made me want to create my own bucket list and actually complete it, no matter how long it’ll take me. I in fact made a bucket list, but it was more like a summer bucket list. Which I did not complete. For this project I came up with 55 things that I would like to do before I die. I’m sure that I’ll be able to come up with much more by the end of the project, but for now that is all I’ve came up with. Some of the things that I would like to do before I die are, donate my hair, foster/ adopt a child, and visit the Chernobyl disaster. Some of the things I am about to post, I feel like I won’t be able to complete, but I’m going to try my hardest to complete them so I can have those as memories and I can hopefully tell my grandchildren in the future.

Six Word Memoir #5
I use one of my friends to go along with this memoir because she has been a dancer for as long as I have. We use to dance with each other when we were little. I personally think that dance is way more than a hobby to me. I've been dancing ever since I was six years old. Dance is pretty much they only thing I do. Whenever I hear music, I always tend to start dance moves and start dancing.. Dance is always a place where I can let out my emotions whenever i need too, and it lets me escape to a different place when i'm not having the greatest day.
Six Word Memoir #4
I love this photo and six word memoir together because it personally means so much to me. When this photo was taken, I was going through a dark period, and the only thing that kept me up, was smiling. This photo goes along with my third memoir, because things are going to be tough, and the only thing you're gonna have to do is keep your chin up. Fake a smile if you have too, it's way better than putting yourself into a dark hole. There's not much I can say about this memoir because everything I would love to say, is already in the memoir below.
All I can say is, if you're down. Fake a smile. It'll be hard faking a smile when you're going through a rough patch. But would you rather have people complimenting your smile, or people asking you every five seconds if things are okay? I personally hate when people ask me what's wrong when something is because it makes me even more upset when people know somethings wrong when I don't want people to know. But that's me. Do what makes you happy, just remember that if nothing's going as planned. Keep smiling. :)
Six Word Memoir #3
"It's never going to be easy." Can go with thousands of different scenarios, but I happened to chose growing up for this six word memoir. The reason why I chose this picture is because one part of growing up is that not everything is going to be easy no matter how easy it looks. I'm currently in High School, and let me tell you this, It's not always easy! It'll be hard at times, but you always need to remember that everything will be alright. No matter how long it'll take to be easy. You just have to lift your chin up and smile at what you have in your life. You only have one life to live. Might as well make mistakes and fix them while you can, because let me tell you this. If you get offered something thats difficult. Just go for it. What's the worst that could happen. Nothing. If people judge you on the way you do something, don't let it bug you. They're just trying to tick you off, and by you doing that it's making them feel better because they know it's making you upset. Just know that it's never going to be easy no matter what you do. Just live your life and don't listen to anything people say about you. Keep your chin up. :)
Six Word Memoir #2
I believe this photo goes perfectly with this six word memoir because it's never a bad idea to travel to places and look at how others lives our different compared to ours. If you got the money, do it! It's a great experience to see how others live. This picture was taken in Cuba just a couple weeks ago, when my best friend and I travelled there with my family. I've personally visited there 8 years, and I do not regret it. It's a beautiful place with a bunch of wonderful people. I suggest you go check it out, because you won't regret it. At all. This picture was taken just like this, I didn't need to edit it and fix the colours up. The sunset was beautiful this night, and made the picture look wonderful.

Louisville
I've never really been into basketball, but after watching NCAA, it grew on me. Right from the start I was cheering for Louisville even though I knew no one on the team or knew nothing about them. During a game, Kevin Ware was terribly injured and could not finish the season. When Ware was laying on the ground, he cried to the coach saying "We need this win." After Ware said this, coach went to the players and said we need to get into the final four. Of course Louisville won.
All over twitter there were trends about Ware. For example, #prayforware.
Tonight was the finals, Louisville and Michigan. It was a very intense game.. For me at least. Louisville was losing, and then started gaining points. In the end Louisville was named champs.
After the buzzer went off I looked for Ware and saw how happy he looked. It broke my heart that he wasn't able to play the game because of his injury, but his team won it for him.

PostSecret
While looking at PostSecrets I found one that said, "There are two kinds of secrets; those we keep from others and the ones we hide from ourselves". This PostSecret caught my attention because I find it to be very true. The reason I say this is because we are constantly hearing different stories and we don't know how to stay up to date with all of the different sides. So we just ignore them and hide our thoughts from others and even ourselves for that matter. I know that I try not to believe everything, so I think differently and ignore what the truth actually is.

Digital Footprint
This is my digital footprint that was done in class. This shows that I'm constantly on my phone and on many social websites. Such as tumblr, Instagram, wanelo, and twitter.
I have ballet shoes in the corner of my footprint because I have been a dancer since age seven.

Weekly Response #1
Book: Jays Journal
Author: Anonymous
Pages read: 1-25
Dear Ms. McLauchlan, the book I am currently reading is Jays Journal. I predict that this book is going to be very interesting, just like Go Ask Alice. The reason why I think this, is because it goes along the lines of Go Ask Alice but instead of a girl, it's a boy, who is roughly around the same age as me. Just by reading the first couple pages I have already been asking a bunch of questions. A couple of the questions I've asked were "Does Jay end up in a lot of trouble right off the boat?", "do his friends/family know that he writes poems, or is it on the down low?" And last, "Who is Kendall? A sibling? Boy or girl?"
To answer these questions, Jay does in fact get in trouble because of how big his mouth is. I'm asking if his friends/family know about his poems because he seems like the kind of boy that hides stuff like that. To answer my question about who Kendall is, Kendall is Jays younger brother.
I also feel like Jays personality is based on who he hangs out with, and he seems like he needs to be the leader in his "group" and always needs to be on top of everything.

To This Day
I happened to be looking online and found a video that inspired me in many different ways. I thought It would be a good idea to post this on many different sites as I could.
It's sad that people don't understand the things they say or do to others affects them in multiple different ways. By watching this I hope you make a difference in what you say/do to other people; because to this day, it's still in the back of their mind.

Pocket Shots
If you were to open up my purse you would see a lot of different things. The first thing you would see would have to be my jets key chain and my Calgary flames name tag. The things on my key chain would be my house keys and my car key. From looking at my keys you can see that I'm a hockey fan and my favourite teams are Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames. The second item you would see would be my two favourite perfumes. These perfumes are Justin Bieber's someday, and Britney Spears midnight fantasy. I like to change my scent once and awhile! The third thing you would see would have to be all my lip balms! I can't go a second without moisturizing my lips. I like to use my lip scrub from lush and then my baby lips. The last thing you would see would be my iPhone charger. I always have my charger with me no matter where I go. I guess you could say I'm pretty addicted to my phone.. a couple of my favourite apps on my phone would have to be twitter, Instagram and the game 4 pics 1 word. These things go everywhere with me no matter what!
